Automated tow tractors can be used in the production environment, a place where manual tow tractors are still the norm today. These automated tow tractors are ideal for towing trailers with loads of up to 5,000 kg, enabling the efficient delivery of supplies to the production line.
By enabling efficient factory transport over long distances and supplying materials according to the "milk run" distribution principle, automated tow tractors facilitate the reliable completion of routine tasks. The tow tractor stops at defined positions and the trailers are then manually loaded and unloaded. In addition, the tow tractors are suitable for use with a variety of loads and trailers. The optional automatic coupling and uncoupling of the trailers ensures a seamless production supply.
Integrated into your system landscape
Mobile robots from Jungheinrich can be used as a stand-alone system or as a networked system. In a stand-alone system, our trucks communicate with their peripherals via the mobile robots’ system (for example with high-speed doors or fire doors) and otherwise operate autonomously in your company. To fully map your end-to-end processes, we can also connect our networked system to an ERP system and thus integrate it into your IT landscape. This is made possible thanks to our award-winning Jungheinrich Logistics Interface.
If you already have experience with AGV or AMR in your company, we can also connect our mobile robots to corresponding systems via the standardised VDA 5050 interface.

Thanks to their compact design, the Jungheinrich automated tow tractors can efficiently and reliably complete routine tasks.
Thanks to the Personal Protection System (PPS), Jungheinrich mobile robots are suitable for use in mixed operations involving humans and manual and autonomous forklifts. Appropriate warning and protective fields ensure controlled deceleration and safe stopping when there are obstacles on the route.
