Safety

According to the international transportation law lithium-ion batteries are considered hazardous materials. Therefore we’d like to stress the following aspects:

Jungheinrich uses lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO), which is currently the safest cell chemistry. From an ecological point of view it‘s non-toxic and harmless.
All of our batteries have passed the UN transportation test.
Our in-house developed battery management system ensures safe operation.
The enclosed design (IP54) makes the battery insensitive to outside influences.
Our well-trained technicians take care of transport and disposal of lithium-ion batteries.
